My Tryst With Faith
*****A couple of years ago***** “What’s this?” dad asked, pointing towards a CD lying in my bag. “Oh that’s some CD nani gave me. She wanted me to learn some of these keertans.” I replied. “So learn then, what’s the harm? In fact, I’ll give you a book on Sikhism, read it, you should know about your religion.” dad replied. “All of you will never stop trying, will you? You know I can’t stand that word religion. I – The journey so far
1985 to 1989 – Early childhood 3rd July 1985, a new member was added into the Chadha family. We were a joint family back then. I wasn’t the first grandson born in the family, but as far I know, I was the most pampered. 2 months into this world and I developed a problem called Hydrocephalus. As soon as it was confirmed that something was wrong, we quickly drove down from Chandigarh to Delhi. Delhi at … Read entire article »
Wish
“If god granted you three wishes, what would you wish for and why?” read the question in my 9th grade half yearly english paper. It was an essay which was meant to fetch me 25 marks in the paper, but it ended up changing my entire life, actually, ended up changing my dad’s life more than mine. I’ll explain how at the end of this post. Here is how the essay went – We all wish for something or the other at some point of time in life. As a kid we wish for a chocolate or a fancy toy. As we grow older, our demands increase and keep changing. As they say desires are endless, don’t they? Well I don’t know what you would wish for, but here are my … Read entire article »

I love you…. dad :-)
A picture does speak a thousand words. I came into this world like an empty page You filled it with the colors of love and care When I held your finger with my tiny hand I knew you would always be there You watered this barren land with love And made it a garden full of flowers When the going was tough and Tears found no place to hide You wiped them off and gave me a hug, tight You took my pains upon yourself And … Read entire article »

Please do leave a comment and let know how u find it (good or bad). I saw someone today who looked just like you Was it my imagination or was that really you? It can’t be, I hope it’s not It’s not the face that I once knew I feel breathless, my heart is beating hard You seemed so near and yet so far What are these feelings, I have no clue I just sit here and wonder, was this the face that Ionce knew? I can’t help but go down the lane Where we held hands and felt the pain When there were … Read entire article »

Holi Hai!!
I am not religious, but i love celebrating festivals. It sometimes makes me feel like a hypocrite, but I don’t really care. Festivals are days that are meant to bring people closer to each other and that’s all that matters to me. Anyways, yesterday was Holi, the festival of colours. Well it’s not really that way at my place. 8:30AM The sleepy me was in no mood to get up. “Get up and get ready before 9, else people are going to come in and dirty my house.” Mom screamed at me. Getting ready generally means getting dressed in your best clothes. But, today it meant picking up the shabbiest clothes you have. 9:00AM Everybody was downstairs armed with colours and pichkaries. As soon as I was spotted, there was a call for attack. Within a … Read entire article »
