The Recipe Of Screwing Up A Relationship

Today is the start of the Global Poetry Writing Month(GloPoWriMo). Writers from across the world get together to write 1 poem a day(based on a prompt on the website) for the entire months. This is my first attempt at doing this. Lets see how it goes!

Take a heart shaped pan

Add a few drops of lust

For the one she distrusts

mix it well if you must

May be you could

add a t-spoon full of taunts

About her choice of restaurants

Add 100 grams of jealousy

Make sure no guy is ever in her vicinity

Squeeze every ounce of love

give her no space

Put the content on a light flame at this stage

Let it simmer on a low flame

for a few months or may be a few years

Garnish it with fights and a lot of tears

You’d probably hate the dish when it’s served

For it tastes of regret and it stays

you’ll probably spend a long time

Remembering the good old days
