30 seconds late…
I wonder if life were just 30 seconds late
How different would have been our fate
I met this guy at the bar with a beer in his hand
Talking to himself, feeling a little sad
30 seconds more he says to say a final good bye
To see her face for the one last time
30 seconds more to tell her how much i love her
May be then she would have been mine
There nothing else that i can do anymore
All I can wish for is just a 30 seconds more
The other day I was walking by the sea,
I saw an old man sitting all sad and lonely
I went up to him and asked him what’s up
With a sad and gloomy face he looked up
30 seconds more he says is all I wish I had
To tell him how proud I was to be his dad
Now I just sit here looking at the sea, calm and mild
Remembering the days, when he was my little child
There is nothing else I can do anymore
All I wish for is just a 30 seconds more
The other day I sat by myself
Thinking about old times, about an old friend
30 seconds more I wish she’d left a little late
She wouldn’t have met her horrible fate
30 seconds more I wish the car had slowed down
May be we would have that sweet smile still around
But there is nothing else I can do anymore
All i can wish for is just 30 seconds more
30 seconds more to tell someone how much you care
30 seconds more to tell someone you will always be there
30 seconds more to cross the finishing line
30 seconds more to taste the glory for just one last time
30 seconds more to hear your inner voice,
30 seconds more we always have a choice
Not a better way to say to make use of what you have…very well said Tavish…all we need in life is those extra 30 seconds…
Shahid

Hey Tavish.. just started reading ur blog.. a good poem this one..The sense n direction was bang on.. but may be, just as a suggestion, do not focus on the rhyming scheme.. hallmark of Keats,Milton was feel & essence !!
