What would I do without you

You tied my laces when I was a kid. You sang for me till I fell asleep. Every year you tied a thread around my hand which was a symbol of the divine love we shared between us. You were my best friend with whom I could share all my secrets. You taught me the ABCs at school and you cleaned my house when I couldn’t.

Sometimes you were my mother, sometimes my sister, sometimes my friend, sometimes my teacher and sometimes my domestic help. But in every way you were a woman.
