Wish

“If god granted you three wishes, what would you wish for and why?” read the question in my 9th grade half yearly english paper. It was an essay which was meant to fetch me 25 marks in the paper, but it ended up changing my entire life, actually, ended up changing my dad’s life more than mine. I’ll explain how at the end of this post. Here is how the essay went – We all wish for something or the other at some point of time in life. As a kid we wish for a chocolate or a fancy toy. As we grow older, our demands increase and keep changing. As they say desires are endless, don’t they? Well I don’t know what you would wish for, but here are my … Read entire article »

The Soccers in Indian Politics

The Soccers in Indian Politics

If TRP ratings are anything to go by, yes, it’s official. For the first time in Indian sporting history, cricket has been sidelined by football. Italy’s exit from the football world cup made bigger news than India winning the Asia Cup. Sensing the growing enthusiasm among the people, political parties wasted no time pouncing on the opportunity. Our correspondent Shilpa Garg caught up with B.J.P. spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who was not looking very cheerful. Shilpa: “Sir, the … Read entire article »

The last surviving tiger speaks up…

The last surviving tiger speaks up…

June14th 2025. Man had seen many events through the ages, but never again would he witness an event of this nature. The room was packed with journalists and dignitaries from all over the world.  Cameramen from across the world had gathered to capture this moment, a moment that would mark the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the planet, or perhaps a new ending. A few minutes later everybody stopped their conversations and turned … Read entire article »

Fiction 55: I do…

Fiction 55 is a form of writing where the whole story has to fit in 55 words. I was there and so was she. We looked at each other and our eyes met. I saw my future in them. A man next to her asked me “So young man, do you?” “Yes, I do.”, I replied. She smiled at me and said, “Your offer letter would reach you in a week. Congratulations!” … Read entire article »

Hidden

Dressed in a white t-shirt and blue jeans, Mansi stood there with her arms folded. The breeze was blowing her hair in all directions and her eyes were staring at the sea searching for answers – answers now hidden in the depths of time. Time and again she would dig into her pockets and take out a piece of paper, hold it to her heart and cry. Every time she did, she would wipe them off upon hearing her two little kids talk among themselves. A few yards away, Raj looked at this woman with helpless eyes, while hiding behind a rock. “I wish I could, I really do.” He said to himself. “I wish I could hold you in my arms right now. I wish I could just kiss those … Read entire article »

I love you…. dad :-)

I love you…. dad :-)

A picture does speak a thousand words. I came into this world like an empty page You filled it with the colors of love and care When I held your finger with my tiny hand I knew you would always be there You watered this barren land with love And made it a garden full of flowers When the going was tough and Tears found no place to hide You wiped them off and gave me a hug, tight You took my pains upon yourself And … Read entire article »

Love is made of less than four letters – Part 1

Time 5:30 PM, at the nearby chat bhandar “So, tell me, how’s it going with you guys?” said Sneha as she gobbled her last gol gappa. “Going on with who?” replied Prerna, trying to act ignorant of what Sneha meant. “What do you mean with who? How many are there?” said Sneha with a laugh. “Look darling, I really don’t have time for your silly questions. I am getting late for my dance class.” said Prerna as she took out 20 bucks for the gol gappas. “When you decide to be clear with your questions, give me a call. Bye” “Hey wait up. Ok, tell me. What’s going between you and Karan? And I am being damn clear this time, so I expect a clear answer.” Karan was a 23 year old guy working … Read entire article »

Lost

Share A dream to be someone someday All along I was having my way It was strange yet great How everything came about I fought the world, I ran the race I did everything, whatever it takes I knew it won’t be easy, life is a twosided sword I’ll walk it, I know ill bleed, Eventually I knew, I will succeed Succeed, I did, but today, I find myself in a prison With no way out A prison I walked into myself Surrounded with invisible walls Chained by my thoughts and guarded by myfears My fellow inmates calls me different names Some call me a looser, Some call in a champion Some call me an angel, Some call me a demon All I want is to be just free In a world where I am just me Lost in my thoughts of my regret I saw a smiling face I was … Read entire article »
